Business Academy
The Business Academy is a dynamic, comprehensive program which introduces students to the exciting professional world of Business. Students will explore several diverse career areas including Entrepreneurship, Marketing, E-Commerce, Management, Project Management, International Business, Business Law, Finance, Operations and Management. The objectives of the Business Academy are to prepare students for transition to college, a technical school or employment and to connect, collaborate and compete in a global economy. An emphasis on communication, critical thinking, strong work ethics, goal setting, productivity, leadership and teamwork will provide students with a solid foundation for success. Students will have an opportunity to participate in DECA, a Career & Technical Student Organization. Students will participate in Job Shadow experiences during their junior & senior year. Course content will include creating a viable Business Plan, Marketing Plans, Business and Personal Ethics, Finance, & Social Responsibility. Students will also develop Professional Business Relationships, Leadership Skills, Customer Relationship Skills, and Communication Skills. The latest Technology will be fully integrated to facilitate and foster collaboration and teamwork in a professional business environment.
